Die Zuchtart<\/h2>\n

Bei New Valfish werden Regenbogenforellen (Oncorhynchus mykiss) gez\u00fcchtet. Diese geh\u00f6ren zur Familie der Lachsfische (Salmonidae) und waren urspr\u00fcnglich an der nordamerikanischen Pazifikk\u00fcste beheimatet. Im Jahr 1879 wurde diese Forellenart dann nach Europa eingef\u00fchrt, wo sie sich in der Folge an die mittel- und westeurop\u00e4ischen Bedingungen anpasste.<\/p>\n

Heute kommen Regenbogenforellen in Gew\u00e4ssern auf der ganzen Welt vor, ausser in warmen Seen und Fl\u00fcssen. Sie gew\u00f6hnen sich rasch an unterschiedliche Lebensr\u00e4ume, bevorzugen aber k\u00fchle, sauerstoffreiche Gew\u00e4sser.<\/p>\n

Bovairons<\/h2>\n

An diesem Standort werden die Eier ausgebr\u00fctet und alle unsere Jungfische geboren. Sie werden bis zu einem Gewicht von 20 Gramm aufgezogen, bevor sie dann nach Le Bouveret gebracht werden.
\nDie Anlage wird einerseits mit dem \u00fcbersch\u00fcssigen Trinkwasser der Gemeinde Vouvry und andererseits mit Wasser aus dem Bach Fosseau versorgt.\n<\/p>\n

Le Bouveret<\/h2>\n

Im Jahr 2007 wurde der ehemalige Zuchtstandort f\u00fcr Tilapia-Barsche renoviert und umgebaut, um dort anschliessend die Produktion von Regenbogenforellen nach den Richtlinien von Bio Suisse zu erm\u00f6glichen.
\nIn dieser Anlage produzieren wir mithilfe eines Bestands an ausgew\u00e4hlten Zuchttieren unsere eigenen Eier. Ausserdem ziehen wir dort unsere Fische mit einem Gewicht ab 20 Gramm gross, bis sie Verkaufsgr\u00f6sse erreicht haben.
\nDie Fischzucht wird mit Wasser aus einem Bach versorgt, der von zwei nahe gelegenen Quellen gespeist wird.\n<\/p>\n

Zukunft & Nachhaltigkeit<\/h2>\n

Unser Betrieb weist 7 Prozent \u00f6kologische Ausgleichsfl\u00e4chen aus.
Im Jahr 2023 wurden \u00fcberdies auf einer Fl\u00e4che von 1600 m\u00b2 Photovoltaik-Module installiert, mit denen 30 Prozent des Energiebedarfs des Unternehmens gedeckt werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
